Yes the way he uses those old plastic containers, and turn it into a chandelier, sort of. In the lamp department at selfridges they sometimes have interesting design, and unusual material.
I'm also thinking how light transforms the object, such as Bachelors plastic cans, and Jeff Wall's photographs that are displayed in those large lightboxes (like advertising).
The Albers and Moholy Nagy exhibition currently at Tate. Moholy-Nagy's, "Light Prop for an Electric Stage" (Famous Video: Light Play: Black-White-Grey) Joseph Albers, Grid Mounted, 1921.
Caroline - you are right about the oil being appropriate to Trace and I'd be interested to see your experiments - and thank you for the tip to look at Daniel Zeller
Setting my own work in context with that of others throughout the ages and in different cultures.
An investigation of the use of light in art focusing on what I find most appealing, and trying to determine why that is.

βI am currently a postgraduate student on the MA Drawing As Process at Kingston University.β

The video looks "cool."
It's amazing light interacts with transparent material, especially the colours. Lots to explore I think!
